"The most basic of all human needs is the need to understand and be understood. The best way to understand people is to listen to them." - Ralph Nichols
About Me

About

I am passionate about working with couples and helping them attain positive change.
I believe that we can achieve personal health and well-being.

This is accomplished by providing a safe, confidential, non-judgmental, environment to explore and learn about oneself; collaborating to create goals and positive changes that incorporate ones values and beliefs. This process involves listening, encouraging, and supporting the client. Along with knowing how the mind works and how our emotions respond, there is an art to working with and attuning to people, meeting their needs, and helping them learn to help themselves.

I hold a PhD in Counseling, a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Psychology.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington and Oregon, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon.
